The platform declared Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. The role possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and animated series.

Escola is joined by multiple fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to life, including chief Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.

Even though this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment.
